Vitrum and Avis

Finally got up some Bio's of characters I havn't drawn much but that I like a lot. Vitrum and his younger brother Avis.

Name: Vitrum

Gender: Male

Age: physically 4 years but mentally in his late 20’s.

Height: 6 ½ inches

Personality: Unlike his younger brother Avis, Vitrum is quiet and shy. He doesn’t make friends easily and rarely leaves his workshop except for supplies. He’s practically afraid of the city he lives in, but would never leave because he’s even more terrified of the emptiness beyond its crumbling buildings. He’s only comfortable around his family and their close friends. The only time he’s ever talkative is around his glass creations. He’s happy to share his work and devastated any time any of them break.
Brief History: Vitrum is the eldest son of two crafting stitchpunks who were created in the city, Fiscus and Mille. He was taught his mother’s trade of glass while his brother Avis was taught Fiscus’s trade of making clay to mold fire and sell. When he was just a child he and a group of children went out to the edge of the city at night to explore and were nearly attacked by a beast that had been wandering by. After that Vitrum barely left the house. After his brother was “born” he became braver again just to help take care of him, and has grown even more confidence after meeting a girl named Sorrow, who despite her name has brought him a lot of happiness. Once in a while, he does go back to the edge of the city, collecting broken pieces of glass to melt and turn into art, but he only goes during the day.

Talent: Unlike a lot of stitchpunks in the city Vitrum isn’t afraid of fire. He’s been burned several times but he still uses it skillfully to melt and shape his cups and sculptures. He doesn’t see his brother as competition, and he gladly shares tools and fuel for furnaces with him.

Name: Avis

Gender: Male

Age: Physically 3, mentally 20.

Height: Around 6 ¼ inches.

Personality: He’s very friendly and warms up to people easily but having lived in a crumbling city full of thieves and murderers he’s had to develop a fearless outlook on life. If he’s threatened he won’t hesitate to pick up a heavy object and fight back. However while he’s usually pleasant and easy going to his friends he’s got many self-esteem issues. He doesn’t like being different and yet he constantly find himself to be unlike anyone he’s ever met. Anytime he feels something is wrong with him he tries very hard to hide it. He only tells someone until he accepts it or is comfortable enough with someone to tell them.

Brief History: The city he lives in is not the most pleasant. He had a hard time while he was young just because his fabric was green while almost everyone else had burlap or canvas. He had an even harder time feeling acceptable when he started to realize he wasn’t attracted to the more slender women ragdolls like many of his male friends. In fact he liked the men more, and it freaked him out at that age. He didn’t dare tell his family or his friends and for a while he tried to convince himself to change who he was. It led to many unsatisfying relationships, and Avis almost gave up on ever being happy. After he was older he was more accepting of himself, though he still only called himself bi until he finally met Kelsang, who made him finally accept who he was.

Talents: He’s very artistic and enjoys working with clay. He makes bowls, cups, statues and even working parts for the city’s citizens in return for the sequin-sized coins that they use for currency.
